Numerous opportunities are available to improve knowledge and technical skills while all procedures (A-line, central line, PA catheters, etc) are performed under direct supervision. The program is directed under an anesthesiologist who is also a board certified echocardiographer recognized by the National Board of Echocardiography Additionally, during the advance CA3 elective in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography, dedicated time is spent on intraoperative TEE as well as time in the echocardiography laboratory.
