Neuro Anesthesia
The Harbor-UCLA Neurosurgical Anesthesia Service provides anesthetic care to patients undergoing intracranial (tumor, aneurysm, AV Malformation, trauma), carotid artery, spinal and interventional neuroradiological procedures.
Anesthesia residents gain experience with a wide variety of neurosurgical procedures and deifferent anesthestic techniques including: electrophysiologic monitoring (SSEp, MEP, crainial nerve monitoring, cerebral oximetry), pharmacologic neuroprotection and intracranial pressure monitoring.
Residents are supervised by their assigned faculty at all times. Resident learning is comprised of didactic sessions, reading from recommended texts, case preparation and intraoperative experience.
